About

As an illustrator I hope to create objectively good and beautiful art that uplifts the soul and directs us towards God.  Many of my pieces draw from narratives that have been instrumental in the development of Western Civilization.  I have been particularly influenced by illuminated manuscripts such as the Lindisfarne Gospels and the Book of Kells and I am struck by Byzantine iconography and Romanesque statuary.  Illustrators such as Gustave Dore, Daniel Mitsui, and Roberto Innocenti have also influenced the direction of my art.
